Dalia Meir and her Backgammon Board

“And thus shall you say to him, a hearty greeting! Peace be both to thee, and peace to thy house, and peace to all thou hast”

This Biblical phrase is from a traditional blessing of an Iraqi Jew on the Jewish New Year, which my father Menashe Meir would say in the prayer for the New Year (from the first book of Samuel, 25, 6.)

In the years after his death, the meaning and the power of the statements that he said and quoted surfaced and appeared with full force. Today, this prayer is incorporated as an integral part of my inner and therapeutic work with others.

I see this ancient blessing to be a true blessing, which is relevant to me today as well.

In a work on a chessboard, with all the significance of this board, different elements of peace, quiet, and harmony were implemented and expressed.
